Hydrofire

Hydrofire spans freestanding fireplaces, built-in inserts and double-sided units, which makes it one of the most flexible ranges on the site. Whether you are heating a single lounge, recessing a fireplace into a chimney breast or opening a see-through feature between two rooms, there is usually a Hydrofire unit that fits. Every unit is sold with proper flue and installation guidance so you get a safe, compliant fit and a Certificate of Compliance where required. Hydrofire Fireplaces in Cape Town

Hydrofire is one of the biggest wood fireplace ranges sold in South Africa, with more than 90 models on our site. If you have searched "what is a Hydrofire", it is simply the brand name: a range of closed combustion wood fireplaces, from small freestanding stoves to large built-in and double-sided units. Our team supplies and installs Hydrofire fireplaces across Cape Town and the Western Cape.

Built-in, double-sided and wall-mounted

For a fireplace set into a wall, look at the Odyssey range (Odyssey 55, Odyssey 70 and Odyssey 100). To heat two rooms at once, the L9 Titan double-sided insert and Bordeaux double-sided insert are popular. The W9 Titan hangs on the wall and saves floor space.

Which size do you need?

As a rough guide, 6 to 8kW suits a small lounge and 12kW and up suits a large or open-plan room. Read our Hydrofire sizing guide or our top 5 Hydrofire models, or send us your room size and photos and our team will recommend the right unit.

Installed properly

Every Hydrofire we fit gets the correct flue, cowl and roof flashing for Cape Town wind and winter rain. See our fireplace installation in Cape Town page for how it works.
