Description
Big rooms need a big fire, and the Hydrofire Zeus is built for exactly that. This tall steel stove delivers 14kW nominal output, with a range of 9kW to 18kW, so it can keep a double-volume lounge or large open-plan home warm right through a wet Cape Town evening. At 170 cm high it is also a real feature piece in the room.
Hydrofire Zeus Fireplace Features
Three air supplies for a cleaner burn
The Zeus uses three separate air intakes. Primary air helps you light the fire easily and get it going fast. Secondary air burns off the gases the wood gives off, for more heat and less smoke. Tertiary air feeds very hot air into the top of the firebox to burn what is left. The result is a clean burn wood stove that wastes less fuel.
Built to eco design standards
Hydrofire says the clean burn system is designed in line with Euro 2022 Eco Design requirements, so you get lower emissions along with the heat.
A tall freestanding fireplace with presence
The body measures 56 x 48 x 170 cm and weighs 180 kg. That height gives the Zeus a striking look against a feature wall. It runs at 75% efficiency on wood, and the 150 mm flue can leave from the top or the rear, which gives our installers more options in tricky rooms.
Supplier backing
Hydrofire states the Zeus is made in China to European design standards and carries a two-year limited warranty.
Is the Zeus right for your home?
Hydrofire rates the Zeus for 85 m² to 160 m². That makes it a good match for large lounges, open-plan living areas, high ceilings and farmhouse-style rooms. In a small lounge a 14kW fireplace will run too hot, so we will suggest a smaller model if that is your case. Installation in Cape Town
A 180 kg stove needs a solid hearth and careful handling. Our team delivers, places and installs the Zeus with the right 150 mm flue, cowl and roof flashing for Cape wind and rain, and we sort out compliance. Read more about our fireplace installation service or see the wider Hydrofire collection.
Hydrofire Zeus FAQs
How large a space can the Hydrofire Zeus heat?
The supplier rates it at 85 m² to 160 m². Actual results depend on ceiling height, insulation and how much glass the room has, so we check these details with you before you order.
Can the Zeus flue go out the back?
Yes. The Zeus has a top or rear flue outlet, both 150 mm. A rear exit is handy when the stove sits against an outside wall or when a straight run up through the ceiling is not possible.
