Fireplace problems we fix

  • Smoke coming into the room – usually a flue draw problem: blocked or undersized flue, failed cowl, or leaking joints. We diagnose and fix the cause, not just the symptom.
  • Cracked or milky fireplace glass – we fit replacement glass panels for Hydrofire and most major brands, with fresh sealing tape.
  • Worn door rope seals – if the door closes loosely or the glass soots up overnight, the rope seal has flattened. A new seal restores slow, efficient burning.
  • Combustion fireplaces losing heat – air leaks, perished seals and damaged baffle plates rob a closed combustion unit of its efficiency. We restore them to spec.
  • Flue and chimney leaks – rain ingress, rust streaks and draught problems at the ceiling or roof penetration, repaired and weatherproofed.
  • Fireboxes, grates and firebacks – burnt-out grates, cracked firebacks and damaged bricks replaced.
