Godin is a French maker of cast-iron stoves and fireplaces, building them since the 1800s. The range is known for heavy cast iron that holds heat, classic shapes like the Petit Godin, and modern freestanding and built-in models. Our team supplies and installs Godin fireplaces across Cape Town and the Western Cape.

Freestanding Godin stoves

• Petit Godin Small Round 5kW, Small Oval 7kW, Large Round 10kW and Large Oval 10kW. Multifuel, so they burn wood or coal.
• Compact wood stoves for smaller rooms: Cube, Mini Cube, Calina, Silinda and Regence.
• Bigger wood stoves for open-plan living areas: Madras 9kW, Fonteval 10kW, Fontemont 12kW and Chevannes 13kW.

Built-in Godin fireplaces

For a fireplace set into a wall or an existing chimney opening, look at the Godin Insert 14kW, the Insert B5.2 and the Visi range (65-F, 75-F and 85-F).

Which size do you need?

As a rough guide, a 5 to 7kW stove suits a small lounge, and 10kW and up suits a large or open-plan room. Ceiling height, insulation and how many walls face the wind all change the answer. Send us your room size and a few photos and our team will recommend the right model and flue.
