Description
The Godin Insert B5.2 is a fireplace insert that turns an old open chimney or a new feature wall into a closed, controllable fire. It gives you the look of a framed fire in the wall with the control of a closed stove. Fans are sold separately, which keeps the starting cost down and lets you add them only if your room layout needs them.

A closed fire in your existing chimney
An open fireplace sends most of its heat up the chimney. A godin insert closes the opening with a glass door, so you control the air, the burn rate and the heat that reaches the room. You also get a cleaner, safer fire with no sparks on the floor.
Fans when you want them
Because the fans are an optional extra, you can start with natural convection and add fans later to push warm air into a larger space or a passage. Ask our team which fan kit matches the B5.2.

Can the B5.2 go into my old open fireplace?
In most cases yes, as long as the opening is large enough and the chimney is sound. We inspect the chimney, check the size and fit a suitable flue liner before installing the insert.
Do I need the fans?
Not always. In a single lounge natural convection is often enough. Fans help when you want heat carried into a bigger open-plan area or a second room.
