Affordable Free Standing Fireplace Installation & Repairs Services
Freestanding closed-combustion fireplaces for Llandudno homes, flued and capped for the storms that roll in off the Atlantic.

Llandudno is a small, quiet bay between Hout Bay and Camps Bay, with homes stepped down steep granite slopes towards the beach. We install and maintain fireplaces, braais and chimneys built for its exposed position, winter storms and salt air.

Chimney sweeping, inspection and repair throughout Llandudno. We often find salt-damaged cowls, and flues blocked by nests in homes that stand empty for weeks.
Llandudno faces straight out into the Atlantic, with the slopes of Little Lion’s Head rising behind it, and there is little shelter from the winter cold fronts that come in from the north-west. Strong gusts and driving rain hit roofs here hard, so we pay close attention to flue height, storm collars and secure bracing on every installation.
Houses are built into steep slopes among large granite boulders, often with long stairways from the road and limited parking on the narrow streets. Salt air is constant this close to the water, so we use marine-grade stainless steel for flue parts above the roof, and we plan deliveries carefully because there are no shops or suppliers in the village itself.

A closed-combustion wood fireplace is a natural fit for a Llandudno home on a stormy winter night, giving strong heat from a modest amount of wood. Our freestanding closed-combustion range from R7,490 includes units for both compact and open-plan rooms.
Gas is popular for Llandudno homes that are not lived in full-time. It lights at the push of a button, leaves no ash, and needs very little maintenance between visits. Every gas installation is signed off with a Certificate of Compliance.
Bio-ethanol and electric fireplaces suit guest flats, studies and rooms where running a flue up a steep roof is not worth the cost.

Most Llandudno homes have a deck or stone terrace looking over the bay, and a braai there is part of summer life. We build built-in wood braais, install gas braais and add pizza ovens, and because the wind can turn quickly here we place each braai and hood so smoke and sparks blow away from the house and the seating.

Call +27 73 209 3004Yes, if it is properly braced and finished. We use storm collars, secure brackets and a cowl rated for strong wind, and we check them on each service visit.
We look at the access during the site visit and plan the carry, the parking and the team size. Where long stairways are involved, the extra labour is shown upfront in the quote.
Marine-grade stainless steel is the best choice this close to the sea. Ordinary steel cowls and flues rust quickly and can work loose in strong wind.
It is a practical choice because it needs no wood, lights instantly and needs little upkeep while the house is empty. We fit the gas line and issue the Certificate of Compliance.
Strong gusts can push air back down a short or poorly capped flue. A taller flue or a wind-rated cowl usually helps, and a sweep rules out soot or a blockage.
