Description
Our 80mm 0.5m duct single skin is a straight stainless steel flue duct, non-insulated with an 80 mm diameter and a length of 0.5 m. It is a building block for small-bore flue runs, used where a short length is needed between bends, through a wall or to make up the last bit of height.

Where it fits
A single skin flue pipe is meant for the inside of a room, where the pipe can give off heat safely. Where a flue passes through a ceiling, roof or timber, an insulated section and the right fittings are needed. Small-bore flues like this are common on compact appliances, pellet stoves and some gas units, where the maker calls for a narrow outlet. Using the wrong diameter can hurt the draw and cause smoke or poor burning. Always check that 80 mm matches the outlet size your appliance maker specifies. Can I join several 0.5m ducts together?
Yes, sections are made to join up into a longer run. For long straight runs, longer lengths mean fewer joints, so we usually mix lengths to suit.
