Description
A 100mm 90 degree bend changes the direction of your flue by a right angle in one neat piece. It is the part you reach for when a heater has a rear spigot and the pipe needs to turn upwards, or when the flue must cross a wall horizontally and then climb to the roofline. The elbow is made from stainless steel, so it copes with hot flue gases and resists rust in coastal air.
100mm 90 Degree Bend Details
- Diameter: 100mm, to match 100mm flue pipe
- Angle: 90 degrees
- Material: stainless steel, non-insulated
- Weight: 0.33 kg
Which setups does it suit?
This 100mm 90 degree elbow fits appliances and flue runs built on 100mm pipe. Check the outlet size on your fireplace or heater before you order, as flue sizes are not interchangeable. If your route needs a gentler turn, compare the other angles in our flue elbows range, or stay within the 90 degree elbow section for other diameters.
Fitting notes
Every bend slows the draw a little, so our installers keep turns to a minimum and leave enough vertical pipe above it. A non-insulated elbow also needs the correct clearance from timber, ceilings and walls. Our 100mm elbow jobs are part of complete flue installation in Cape Town by our team.
Can I use two 90 degree elbows in one flue?
It is possible, but each sharp turn reduces draught and adds a spot where soot can build up. Where we can, we use one 90 degree elbow or two gentler bends instead, and we plan access for sweeping.
