Description
Bigger flues need a bigger seal. The SM Flat Roof Flashing in EPDM is made for flue pipes from 160 to 220mm, the sizes used on large fireplaces and built-in units, where a standard flashing is too small. It closes the gap around the flue on a flat roof so water stays outside, the same job people mean when they search for EPDM chimney flashing.
SM Flat Roof Flashing (EPDM) Details
EPDM is a tough synthetic rubber that stays flexible outdoors and does not break down in sunlight. It is widely used on flat roofs because it moves with the roof as it heats and cools.

Where to use it
Use this flat roof flashing on flat concrete or metal roofs with a flue of up to 220mm. Because its heat rating is lower than silicone, it is meant for insulated twin wall flues only, where the outer skin stays cool. For a single skin flue, choose a silicone flashing from our roof flashing range. Browse all flues and accessories for matching parts.
Fitting note
Cut the cone to grip the pipe, bed the base in sealant and fix it down evenly so water cannot get under the edge. On felt or torch-on roofs we seal it into the waterproofing layer. Our team does this as part of every flue installation in Cape Town.
Can EPDM flashing be used on a single skin flue?
We do not recommend it. A single skin pipe runs too hot for EPDM. Use silicone instead, or upgrade to an insulated flue through the roof.
