Description
Few fireplaces turn heads like the SAFire Pendulum. This steel SAFire gas fireplace can be fitted freestanding, wall-hung or suspended from the ceiling, so it works as a centrepiece in homes, restaurants and hotels. Because it is flueless, there is no chimney to build, which opens up spots where a wood fire would never fit.
SAFire Pendulum Gas Fireplace Features
Three installation options
Choose a freestanding setup, mount it on a wall, or hang it as a suspended gas fireplace for a real wow factor. The minimalist black steel body suits modern lounges, entertainment areas and hospitality spaces.
Flueless with CleanBurn Technology
The Pendulum is a flueless gas fireplace, so it needs no chimney or flue. SAFire uses CleanBurn Technology for low emissions, and the unit is designed for a ventilated room. It is not suitable for bedrooms or bathrooms.
Built in safety
A flame failure device shuts off the gas if the flame goes out. Gas use is low, and you get instant flame with no wood, ash or smoke.
Is the SAFire Pendulum right for your space?
It comes in two sizes. SAFire rates the 850 model at 11.2kW for about 108 m2, and the 1150 model at 14kW for about 135 m2. That covers large lounges and open-plan areas. Compare other gas fireplaces, or read our tips on buying a freestanding gas fireplace for indoor use.
Installation in Cape Town
The Pendulum needs a fixed gas line and must be fitted by a registered LP gas installer. Our team plans the gas supply, ventilation and mounting, then installs and certifies the unit. See our gas fireplace installation page or the full SAFire range.
SAFire Pendulum FAQs
Does the SAFire Pendulum gas fireplace need a chimney?
No. It is flueless, so there is no chimney or flue pipe. It does need a room with good ventilation, and it should not go in a bedroom or bathroom.
What warranty comes with the Pendulum?
SAFire gives a 1-year limited warranty on moving parts such as the valve, control and pilot light. Rust is not covered. Our team can help with any warranty query.
