Description
The SAFire Linear Built-in Gas Fireplace turns a plain feature wall into the focal point of the room. It is a single-sided, flueless firebox in black steel with a long, letterbox flame, and because it needs no chimney you can place it where it looks best rather than where a flue can run. It is made in South Africa and suits lounges, restaurants and hotel spaces.
SAFire Linear Built-in Gas Fireplace Features
A built in gas fireplace with no chimney
As a flueless gas fireplace, the Linear uses a burner with a flame failure device and an oxygen depletion sensor, so no flue is needed. The room must still have ventilation. SAFire’s CleanBurn burner keeps emissions and odours low.
Clean black finish
The black firebox frames the flame without fuss. A black gas fireplace sits well against stone, plaster or timber cladding, and it hides soot marks better than lighter finishes.
Fuel bed and ignition
Choose a ceramic log set for a wood fire look, black lava rock for an ember glow, or white river rock for a modern finish. Ignition is manual as standard, with a remote control option.
Gas fireplace sizes
Widths are 810, 1010, 1210, 1410, 1760 and 2010 mm. Output steps up from 11.2kW on the 810 to 12kW on the 1010 and 1210, 16kW on the 1410 and 18kW on the two largest. Knowing the gas fireplace sizes early helps your builder frame the opening correctly.
Is the Linear right for your room?
SAFire’s heating figures are about 108m² for the 810, 115m² for the 1010 and 1210, 154m² for the 1410 and 173m² for the largest sizes. Tell us your room size and wall width and we will help you choose. Browse more gas fireplaces or read about drop-in gas fireplace design styles.
Installation in Cape Town
A built in gas fireplace runs on a fixed gas line, so a registered LP gas installer must fit it. Our team handles the line, the opening and the certificate. See our gas fireplace installation service and the wider SAFire range.
SAFire Linear FAQs
Is a flueless gas fireplace safe indoors?
Yes, when it is installed correctly and the room is ventilated. The flame failure device cuts the gas if the flame goes out, and the oxygen sensor switches it off if the air gets stale.
What is the difference between the Linear and the See Through Linear?
The Linear is single-sided, with the flame facing one room from a feature wall. The See Through version is double-sided and shows the fire to two rooms through a partition wall.
