Gas installation in Cape Town for fireplaces, braais and outdoor living, done by our own registered gas installers. We fit the bottles, cages and gas lines, test every joint and sign the work off with a gas Certificate of Compliance.

Send us photos of the gas bottles, the cage and the appliances they run. We will tell you if the setup can be certified as it is, or what needs to change first.
Most homes in Cape Town run gas from LPG bottles, not a mains supply. That makes the installation itself important. The bottles, the regulator, the gas line and every connection have to meet SANS 10087, and only a registered gas installer may sign that off.
The Certificate of Compliance is the proof. You need one for a new or changed fixed gas installation, and you need a valid one when you sell your home. Insurers may also ask for it after a claim. Our registered installers fit the gas for the fireplaces, braais and outdoor kitchens we build, and issue the CoC when the work passes.
For gas fireplaces, see our gas fireplace installation page. Before you light up, read our carbon monoxide safety guide for fireplaces and braais.

Every setup is different, so we quote after seeing the bottles, the route and the appliances. These are the things that change the price.
Number of appliances. One braai is a simpler job than a braai, a fireplace and a patio heater on one line.
Gas line length. The distance from the bottle cage to each appliance sets how much line and fitting work is needed.
Bottle setup. A single bottle, two bottles with a changeover valve, or a larger cage outside.
Existing gas work. Older installs sometimes need parts replaced or moved before a CoC can be issued.
Building work. A bottle bay, a base for the cage or a channel for the gas line adds some building.
1. Photos and appliances. Tell us what the gas will run, and send photos of where the bottles could go.
2. Site check. We check bottle positions, distances to openings and drains, ventilation and the gas line route.
3. Written quote. You get one quote for the gas work and any building or appliance installation.
4. Install. The cage, bottles, regulator, valves and gas line go in, and the appliances are connected.
5. Pressure and leak test. Every joint is tested before the gas is turned on for use.
6. CoC and handover. We issue the Certificate of Compliance, show you how to change a bottle safely and leave the site clean.

Send us photos of your gas setup and we will tell you what it needs.

Built-in gas braais. A gas, or gas and wood, braai with the bottle in a bay below or a cage nearby.
Outdoor kitchens. Gas for the braai and side burners in one neat run. See our braai area design and build page.
Gas fireplaces. Flued and flueless fireplaces and inserts, connected and certified.
Fire pits and patio heaters. Gas fire pits, fire tables and patio heater setups for the stoep.
Household gas lines. Gas lines for your home, run from a safe outdoor bottle cage.
For any new fixed gas installation, after changes to an existing one, and when you sell your home. Insurers may also ask for it. The CoC must be issued by a registered gas installer.
Only an installer registered for LPG work may install and certify gas in a home. Our team includes registered gas installers, so we install and sign off the work ourselves.
We can inspect it. If it meets the standard, we certify it. If not, we tell you what must change, fix it and then issue the CoC.
Outside, on a firm level base, with good ventilation and the required distance from doors, windows, drains and electrical points. We check your site and suggest the safest spot, usually in a cage.
Often, if the braai is made for it or a gas unit can be fitted. We check the braai, add a bottle bay or cage and the gas connection, and certify the work.
