Description
The SAFire Plateau is a gas fire pit with a clean, low profile that works as a centrepiece on a patio, pool deck or restaurant terrace. Turn it on and you have flame straight away, with no wood to carry and no smoke drifting into your guests. It is made in South Africa and finished in terazzo or concrete, so it suits both modern and more traditional outdoor spaces.

Strong, steady flame
A 304 stainless steel burner rated at 60,000 BTU gives a full flame that you can turn up or down. At maximum it uses about 1.2 kg of gas per hour, and on a calm evening you can run it lower to save gas.
Finishes that match your space
The base comes in Dark Grey Concrete, Light Grey Terazzo or White Terazzo. The centre is dressed with lava rock in red or black, or with crushed white pebbles, so you can match your paving or decking. It measures 80 x 120 x 35 cm.
Approved for most surfaces
SAFire approves the Plateau for stone and brick patios as well as wooden and concrete decks. Set it on a level surface outdoors. Indoor use is only allowed in a room with good ventilation.
Simple and safe to run
A pressure regulator and a hose with a safety valve are included. It is available with manual or remote control, and SAFire also makes a wood version for those who prefer real logs.

Can I use the Plateau gas firepit on a wooden deck?
Yes. SAFire approves it for wooden and concrete decks as well as brick and stone patios. Keep it on a level surface and leave clear space around it. We check the spot and the gas route on site before installing.
Can it run off a loose gas bottle?
It is designed to connect to a fixed LP gas line, which is safer and keeps the area neat. Our team plans where the cylinders go and runs the line to the fire pit, then signs it off with a certificate of compliance.
Is there a warranty?
SAFire gives a 1-year limited warranty on moving parts such as the valve, control and pilot light. Rust is excluded, so a cover is a good idea for winter.
