The SAFire Emberglo 700 Freestanding gives you a wide, 180 degree view of a real gas flame in a unit that stands on its own pedestal. It is part of the Emberglo family, which can also be fitted as a built-in insert or a wall-mounted unit, so the same look can work in very different rooms.

A three sided gas fireplace
Glass on the front and both ends means the fire is visible from across the room, not just straight on. The ceramic log set is arranged so the flames move naturally between the logs, and the bed can be dressed in dark lava rock or pale river stones, whichever suits your room.
Easy and safe to use
A piezo igniter is built into the control valve, so there are no matches to find. Flame height is adjustable, a remote control is included, and a flame failure device shuts off the gas if the flame goes out. SAFire uses its CleanBurn approach for low emissions.
Steady heat for bigger rooms
At 12kW, the Emberglo 700 puts out serious heat for a gas unit. The steel body measures 41 x 70 x 84 cm and connects to a 150 mm flue, because it is made for a room with ventilation rather than as a flueless heater.
Is the Emberglo 700 right for your home?
SAFire rates it for about 115 m2, so it suits a large lounge, an open-plan living area, a dining room or an entrance hall. It is also approved for bedrooms and bathrooms. Compare it with other gas fireplaces if your room is smaller.

Does the Emberglo 700 need a flue?
Yes. It is made for use with a 150 mm flue, unlike flueless gas heaters. We plan the flue route through the ceiling and roof, and seal it for Cape winter rain.
What warranty does it carry?
It comes with a one-year limited warranty on moving parts such as the valve, control and pilot light. Rust is not covered, so keep it away from wet outdoor areas.
Can it be used in a bedroom?
Yes, SAFire approves it for bedroom and bathroom installs. The flame failure device and correct flue make it a safe choice, and our team checks ventilation on site first.
