A long, lively flame
The linear burner is made from 304 stainless steel and feeds flames through multiple ports, so the fire rolls along the full length of the pit. With a heat input of 60000 BTU, it puts out a good amount of warmth for people seated around it.
Finishes that suit your space
The body comes in Dark Grey Concrete, Light Grey Terrazzo or White Terrazzo. The centre can be dressed with lava rock in red or black, or with crushed white pebbles. It measures 78 x 130 x 35 cm and weighs about 210 kg, so it sits firmly once placed.
Easy, controlled gas heat
Gas gives steady heat you can turn up or down, with no wood to store and no ash to clean. A pressure regulator and a hose with a safety valve are included, and you can choose manual or remote control. At full power it uses about 1.2 kg of gas per hour.
Is the Asteroid fire pit right for your space?

The Asteroid connects to a fixed LP gas line, so it must be installed by a registered gas installer. Our team runs the gas line, fits the regulator, tests for leaks and helps place the pit where wind will not blow the flame flat. Can the Asteroid run on a gas bottle?
SAFire specifies a fixed LP gas line for installation. Our team can advise on the best gas setup for your patio and make sure it complies with the gas regulations.
Is there a warranty on the SAFire Asteroid firepit?
Yes. SAFire covers the moving parts, such as the valve, control and pilot light, for one year under a limited warranty. Rust is excluded, so we suggest a cover when the pit is not in use.
Can it go on a wooden deck?
Yes, it is approved for wooden and concrete decks as well as stone and brick patios. Make sure the surface is level and strong enough for its weight.
