Description
The Hydrofire Rubin B does two jobs at once. It is a freestanding wood fire that warms the room it stands in, and it is also a boiler stove that heats water for radiators in other rooms. The striking ruby red side panels make it a feature, and the steel body is built for heavy winter use.

A built-in water jacket
Sold as the Rubin boiler fireplace, the Rubin B is a wood fireplace with water jacket: a cavity in the walls of the stove where cold water flows in, is heated by the fire and flows out again. That hot water can be pumped to one or more radiators, so bedrooms and passages warm up as well as the lounge.
Strong output, light on wood
Output is rated at 11kW (7-13kW) with an efficiency of 80%. The large combustion chamber takes big logs, so you load less often and get more heat from each one.
Bold colour, solid build
The red side panels set the Rubin B apart from a plain black stove. The steel body weighs 150 kg and measures 69 x 46 x 85 cm, with a 142.5 mm flue from the top.
Is the Rubin B right for your home?
As a Hydrofire fireplace it is rated for 65m² to 135m², covering a medium to large living space. If you add radiators, the stove can spread warmth beyond that room, but the plumbing must be planned around your house. Compare it with the standard Rubin and other units in our freestanding fireplaces.

What is the difference between the Rubin and the Rubin B?
The B stands for boiler. The Rubin B has a water jacket that heats water for radiators, while the standard Rubin heats only the room it stands in.
Can I use the Rubin B without radiators?
A boiler stove must always be connected to a working water circuit. Running it dry can damage the water jacket, so we only install it as part of a planned heating system.
