Description
Few gas fires make an entrance like the Kratki Leo 200 LP. Its glass face runs two metres wide and wraps around three sides, so the flames read like a long, low wood fire across the whole room. Behind the glass is a sealed, closed combustion burner that gives serious heat at the touch of a remote, with no wood, ash or smoke to deal with.
Kratki Leo 200 LP Gas Fireplace Features
A wide, three-sided view
The extra-wide glass gives a panoramic flame picture from the couch, the dining table or the kitchen. Kratki uses high-quality heat-resistant glass for safety and long life, and a set of ceramic logs gives the look of a real wood fire.
Sealed and safe
The Leo 200 runs on a coaxial flue. Fresh air comes in through the outer pipe and flue gas leaves through the inner one, so the burner is sealed from the room. That means clean indoor air and no draughts. The flue size is 130/200 mm with a top outlet.
Easy control, no power needed
A hand-held digital remote with a screen lets you light the fire and set the flame height from your seat. The unit runs on batteries, so it does not need a plug point and keeps working during load shedding. Heat reaches the room by both radiant and natural convection.
Built to last
The body is thick steel built to strict EU standards. The unit weighs 235 kg and measures 208 x 48.1 x 89.7 cm, so it is planned into a wall or chimney breast rather than moved around.
Is the Kratki Leo 200 LP right for your home?
With a 14kW output, Kratki rates the Leo 200 for spaces of about 160 to 350 m³, which suits a large lounge or open-plan living area. Our Kratki fireplace guide explains how each Kratki gas fireplace compares, and you can see the full Kratki range and our other gas fireplaces.
Installation in Cape Town
A gas fireplace of this size needs a registered gas installer and careful planning of the build-in, the coaxial flue route and the gas supply. Our gas fireplace installation team handles the full job and issues the certificate of conformity.
Leo 200 FAQs
What does LP mean on the Leo 200?
LP stands for liquid propane, the bottled LPG used in most South African homes. The Leo 200 LP is set up for LP gas, so it runs from gas bottles or a bulk tank outside.
Does a closed combustion gas fireplace need a chimney?
It does not need a brick chimney. It needs its coaxial flue, which can run up through the roof or out through a wall depending on the room, and we plan that route during the site visit.
