It is a little steel wood burner that fits where a big stove would crowd the space: a cottage lounge, a main bedroom, a study or a flatlet. Output you can turn up or down
The Luna runs from 3kW to 7kW. Keep it low on a mild evening, or open the air and load it up when the cold front arrives. That range is what makes a small wood fireplace comfortable to live with, because the room does not overheat.
80% efficiency
Hydrofire rates the Luna at 80% efficiency. More of each log turns into heat in the room rather than going up the flue, so you buy and carry less wood over a season.
Compact and light
At 40 x 38.2 x 55.2 cm and 37 kg, this luna fireplace sits on a modest hearth and suits upstairs rooms where weight matters. The steel body warms up quickly, so you feel heat soon after lighting.
Simple flue
The flue leaves from the top at 100mm, which keeps the install neat and costs down. A straight run through the ceiling and roof is often all it needs.
Is the Luna right for your room?

Is the Hydrofire Luna big enough for a lounge?
For a small lounge, yes. Hydrofire rates it for about 60 m². In a large open-plan room or one with lots of glass it will struggle, and we would suggest a bigger model.
Can I put a luna fireplace in a bedroom?
Yes, many buyers do. It is compact and light. It must have a proper flue to outside, a non-combustible hearth and safe clearances, which we check and install for you.
