Description
Cast iron from top to bottom is what sets the Hydrofire Juna apart. The door, the body, the top and even the internal liner panels are cast iron, so the stove soaks up heat and gives it back slowly, long after the flames die down. It is a traditional looking fireplace built to modern clean-burn standards.
Hydrofire Juna Cast Iron Fireplace Features
Three air controls, three jobs
- Primary air feeds the bed of the fire from below, giving a strong draught for mineral fuel.
- Secondary air burns off gases above the fire, which cuts smoke and helps keep the glass clean when burning wood.
- Tertiary air comes in under the fire for an even cleaner, more complete burn.
Clean burn, less wood
Hydrofire rates the Juna at 79.30% efficiency, and it meets the Euro 2022 Eco Design rules for emissions, making it a true eco design fireplace. In practice that means more heat from each log, less smoke from the chimney and less ash to clear out.
Flexible flue position
The 150 mm flue can leave from the top or the rear. That helps when you want to connect to an existing chimney or route the pipe through a wall.
Size and weight
The Juna measures 52.9 x 38.8 x 74.2 cm and weighs 165 kg, a solid, compact stove that sits on a standard hearth.
Is the Juna fireplace right for your home?
Our listing rates the Juna for a heating area of about 50 m², and Hydrofire gives a range up to around 90 m² in good conditions. That makes it a fit for a medium lounge or a smaller open-plan area. Browse our other freestanding fireplaces if you need more heat.

Hydrofire Juna FAQs
Can the Juna burn coal?
Its primary air control is designed to give the draught mineral fuel needs, but most of our clients burn dry, seasoned wood. Ask our team before switching fuels so the flue suits it.
Why does the glass stay cleaner on the Juna fireplace?
Secondary air flows down across the inside of the glass and burns off gases that would otherwise leave soot. Dry wood helps a lot too.
