Simple lines, a big R-shaped handle and a deep cast iron firebox make the Hergom E-40 the most contemporary model in the Hergom Classic Series. Underneath the modern styling sits a serious 12kW cast iron freestanding fireplace, built from cast iron that spreads heat evenly and lasts for years.

Clean combustion and clearer glass
Primary and secondary air controls let you fine-tune the burn, and secondary combustion burns off gases that would otherwise become smoke. An air wash system sweeps air down the inside of the glass, so you see more fire and spend less time cleaning.
Long logs, easy cleaning
The firebox loads logs up to 45 centimetres comfortably and has a solid wood guard at the front. White cast iron lining panels reflect the light of the flames. A removable ash pan under a closed grate floor makes clearing out quick.
Flexible flue set-up
The 150 mm flue can exit from the top or the rear, and there is an option to connect an outside air inlet, useful in a well-sealed modern home. The stove measures 43 x 60 x 87 cm and weighs 150 kg.
Is the Hergom E-40 right for your home?
Hergom gives it a heating area of about 115 m2, with an output range that turns down to 3kW on a mild night. That suits a large lounge or open-plan living area. Look through our freestanding fireplaces if you need something smaller or bigger.

Where is the Hergom E-40 made?
It is imported from Santander in northern Spain. It meets Eco-Design 2022 rules, carries an A energy label and EC certification, and comes with a five-year limited warranty.
Is a 12kW wood fireplace too much for my lounge?
Not if the room is large or open plan. Because the output turns down a long way, the E-40 can also run gently in a smaller space. Send us the room size and ceiling height and we will advise.
