Description
If you want the look of a fire without a chimney, the Infiniti Classic Built-in 700 is a neat answer. It is a flueless gas fireplace that is built into a wall or surround, so it gives you a clean, framed flame picture and fast heat with no wood to carry and no ash to clean.
Infiniti Classic Built-in 700 Gas Fireplace Features
No chimney, more places to put it
Because it is flueless, there is no need to run a pipe through the ceiling and roof. That opens up rooms where a wood fireplace is hard to fit, such as apartments, inside walls and homes with tricky roof lines. It also means no roof penetration to keep watertight through Cape winter rain.
Heat when you need it
Gas lights at the turn of a knob, and the room starts warming straight away. The output of 5 to 7kW gives you room to turn it up on a cold evening or keep it low for a gentle glow.
Built to fit the wall
The steel firebox measures 37 x 77.5 x 59 cm, which makes it easy to plan a built-in surround or a cladded chimney breast. It suits a modern lounge as well as a more classic room where you want a framed fire.
Is the Classic Built-in 700 right for your home?
As a rough guide, 5 to 7kW suits a small to medium lounge of around 40 to 70 m2 with a normal ceiling. Flueless gas units need the right room size and fresh air supply, so our team checks the room volume and ventilation before we recommend it. Gas installation in Cape Town
Gas work must be done by a registered installer. Our team fits the unit, runs the gas line, places the bottle or connects to your supply and issues the certificate of compliance. Read how our gas fireplace installation works, or see more of the Infiniti gas fireplace range.
Infiniti Classic Built-in 700 FAQs
Does a flueless gas fireplace need ventilation?
Yes. Even without a flue, the room needs a steady supply of fresh air. We check the room size and airflow on site, and we advise where a vent is needed before installing it.
Can the Classic Built-in 700 go into an existing fireplace opening?
Often it can, as long as the opening is big enough for the 77.5 cm wide unit and there is space for the gas line. Send us measurements and photos and we will confirm the fit.
Is gas cheaper to run than wood?
It depends on how you use it. Gas can cost more per hour than wood, but you only run it when you need it and there is no waste, cleaning or wood storage.
