The Chad-O-Chef Focus gives you a real gas flame in your lounge without a chimney, a flue or a builder. It is a flueless gas fireplace that stands on the floor against an open wall, so it suits rentals, apartments and homes where a wood fire is not practical. The look mixes a traditional fireplace shape with modern, low-fuss gas.

No chimney, no building work
As a freestanding gas fireplace, the Focus is placed against a wall on a heat resistant floor. Gas enters through openings at the back, lined up with the valve, so the pipe stays out of sight. We advise a heat resistant surface on the floor and wall behind it.
Your choice of control
Pick the remote control version to light and adjust the fire from your couch, or the classic manual valve with piezo spark ignition if you prefer a hands-on approach.
Finishes
White pebbles come as standard. Black coals or fire glass are available as alternatives, so you can match the fire bed to your decor.
Safe and simple
The Focus has an ODS (oxygen depletion sensor) safety system that shuts the gas off if oxygen in the room drops. It is made of stainless steel and black mild steel with heat resistant coatings, and needs little upkeep.

Is the Focus fire place a good option for apartments?
Often, yes, because there is no flue to install. Check your body corporate rules on LPG bottles first, and make sure the room meets the minimum volume.
How long does a gas bottle last?
At full flame the Focus uses about 0.64 kilograms of gas an hour, so a 9 kg bottle gives roughly 14 hours on high, and more on a lower setting.
