Where it is used
80mm ducting is a small bore size. It is commonly used for small appliance flues, fresh air supply to a closed combustion stove and other light venting jobs. It is not sized for a standard wood fireplace flue, which is much wider. If you are not sure which size you need, our team can check your appliance manual.

Fitting note
As a stainless steel duct with a single wall, it can get hot when used as a flue pipe, so keep clearance from timber and ceiling boards. Our team fits and seals ducting as part of our flue installation in Cape Town.
Can I cut a single skin duct to length?
Yes, a single skin section can be cut with the right tools. Cut the plain end, not the joint end, and deburr the edge so the next piece slides on and seals well.
