Description
A flue rarely runs in one straight line from fireplace to sky. The 230mm elbow 90 degree bend is the piece that changes direction cleanly, for example when a rear outlet needs to turn upward, or when a run has to clear a wall or roof timber. It is a 90 degree elbow sized for 230mm pipe, made from stainless steel.

Where a 90 degree bend fits in
Fireplace flue bends are best kept to a minimum, because every turn slows the draw a little. One well placed bend is often the neatest way to connect a rear outlet stove or to get around an obstacle. If your layout needs a softer change of direction, look at the other parts in our elbows range, or browse the full flues and accessories section for pipes, cowls and flashings in the same size.
Fitting note
Match the diameter to your flue outlet and the rest of the run. A 230mm stainless steel flue part will not seal properly on a different size pipe. Our flue installation team checks lengths, clearances and support brackets so the finished run is safe and draws well.
Does a 90 degree elbow affect how my fireplace draws?
A single bend is normal and works well when the vertical section above it is tall enough. Several bends in one run can cause smoke problems, so we plan the route before we fit anything.
