Description
Wide flues need fittings that match, and the 200mm 90 degree bend gives a big flue a clean right-angle turn without narrowing the gas path. It is made from stainless steel and joins 200mm flue pipe, which is a size often used on large braai chimneys, canopies and bigger built-in fireplaces.
Where a 200mm 90 Degree Bend Is Used
A flue 90 degree elbow is handy where the flue leaves a canopy or appliance sideways and has to turn up through the roof, or where an outside wall run must change direction. Keep in mind that every bend reduces draw, so a straight vertical flue is always the first choice. Large flues also catch more wind at the top, which is why we pair them with a good cowl on exposed Cape Town roofs.

Fitting note
Check the diameter of your existing pipe with a tape before ordering, since a 200mm elbow must slide snugly into matching pipe. Seal and secure each joint, support horizontal sections, and keep the required gap from timber and ceilings. 200mm Elbow FAQs
Will a 90 degree elbow cause smoke problems?
One 90 degree elbow is usually fine if the flue above it is tall enough. Several sharp bends or a long sideways run can slow the draw and push smoke back, so we often use two 45 degree bends instead.
