Description
Our 130mm Elbow 45 is a 45 degree flue bend for 130 mm flue systems. Straight runs are best, but real homes have beams, roof trusses and ceiling joists in the way. A pair of 45 degree bends lets you step the flue sideways and keep going up, without the sharp turn of a 90 degree elbow.
130mm Elbow 45 Degree Bend Details
- Diameter: 130mm
- Angle: 45 degrees
- Material: stainless steel
- Weight: 0.3 kg
- Type: single skin elbow (non-insulated)
A stainless steel elbow resists heat, corrosion and the damp Cape Town winter, so it lasts far longer than a painted mild steel part.
Where to use it
Use it on the inside section of a flue to offset the pipe or line it up with a ceiling penetration. Keep bends to a minimum, because each one slows the draw a little. Find matching parts in our elbows range and the full flues and accessories section.
Fitting note
Join and seal each connection properly and support the pipe above and below the bend. Our team can design and fit the whole run through our flue installation in Cape Town service.
Should I use a 45 or a 90 degree bend?
Where possible, use 45 degree bends. They keep the smoke flowing smoothly and are easier to sweep than a tight 90 degree turn.
