Lacunza Fireplaces in Cape Town

Lacunza is a Spanish maker of wood fireplaces and cookers. Its best known idea is a fireplace with a built-in oven, so one fire heats the room and cooks dinner at the same time. Our team supplies and installs Lacunza fireplaces across Cape Town and the Western Cape.

Lacunza Altea fireplace and oven

The Lacunza Altea is the model we carry. It is a freestanding wood fireplace with an oven above the firebox, which makes it a good choice for farmhouse-style kitchens, open-plan living areas and holiday homes where the fire is the heart of the house.

  • Bake bread, roast vegetables or slow-cook a stew while the fire heats the room.
  • Glass door so you still see the flames.
  • Freestanding, so it needs a flue but no building work around it.

Installed properly

We fit the Altea with the correct flue, cowl and roof flashing for Cape Town wind and winter rain. See our fireplace installation in Cape Town page, or send us photos of the room and we will confirm the flue route.
