How the water jacket works
The walls of the firebox are hollow. Cold water flows in, picks up heat from the fire and flows out hot. That hot water then circulates through pipes to radiators around the house, so you feel the warmth in the bedrooms too. Add a simple heat exchanger and the same fire can help heat your household hot water and cut your electricity use.
Room heat plus boiler heat
The fireplace runs at around 7kW, with a range of 5 to 10kW, and the boiler side delivers 7 to 10kW into the water. It works well as a fireplace water heating system for homes that want to rely less on electric heaters in winter.
Solid steel build
The Deluxe B is made of steel, weighs 113 kg and measures 52 x 48 x 91 cm. It runs at 73% efficiency and connects to a 142.5 mm top flue. Like all Hydrofire fireplaces, it is imported from Europe and carries CE certification.
