The Earthfire White with Trim Large is the bigger of the two Earthfire sizes, a ceramic firepot with a white glaze set off by a darker trim. It makes a bold, warm feature in a lounge, an entertainment area or a covered patio, and it brings a crafted, African feel that no steel stove can match.

Heat that lingers
The secret is the clay. Earthfire firepots store heat in their thick ceramic walls and keep radiating it for up to two hours after the fire goes out. A metal stove holds very little heat by comparison, so it cools much faster.
Made to last
The specially formulated clay is designed not to crack, and it will not rust, smoke or smell. Each pot is handmade and glazed, so slight differences in colour and texture make yours one of a kind.
Easy to live with
Dry wood burns cleanly in the pot and drops to a fine ash. The only regular job is brushing out that ash every 15 to 20 fires. Start with a good fire to warm the whole pot, then add wood steadily to keep the room comfortable.
Size and weight
The large pot measures 52 x 52 x 68 cm and weighs about 60 kg, so it suits a bigger floor space than the small version.

How do I light a ceramic fireplace for the first time?
Start with a small fire to warm the clay gently, then build it up. Once the whole pot is hot, it holds a comfortable temperature with steady, modest loads of dry wood.
Does a firepot smell or smoke?
No. With a good draw and dry wood, the wood burns cleanly. Damp or painted timber is what causes smoke, so stick to seasoned logs.
