Description
Italian stove maker La Nordica designed the La Nordica Tea wood stove for homes that want a fire with height rather than width. It stands 134.6 cm tall on a small 47.3 x 41.4 cm footprint, so it slips into a corner or a narrow wall and still makes a strong statement. The enamelled outer panels give it a smooth, polished look that is easy to keep clean.
La Nordica Tea Stove Features
Enamel and cast iron together
The outer body is enamelled, while the base, top and door are cast iron. As an enamelled wood stove it resists marks and fading, and the cast iron parts add weight and heat storage where it counts.
Three stages of air for a cleaner fire
Primary and secondary air are adjustable, and tertiary air is preset to drive a post-combustion system. In simple terms, the stove burns the gases a second time, so you get more heat, less smoke and cleaner glass from the same wood.
Tough glass, tidy ash
The ceramic glass handles temperatures up to 750 degrees, so you get a clear view of a hot fire. An extractable ash box slides out for emptying, which keeps cleaning quick and dust to a minimum.
Light and easy to place
At 79 kg, the Tea is lighter than many cast iron wood stove models, which helps on suspended timber floors. It connects to a 120 mm flue.
Is the Tea right for your home?
As a rough guide, a 7kW wood fireplace suits a small to medium lounge of about 40 to 70 m2 with an average ceiling. For a bigger open-plan area, compare the larger models in our freestanding fireplaces range.
Installation in Cape Town
Our team supplies and installs the Tea with a 120 mm flue, cowl and roof flashing that suit Cape wind and winter rain, and we issue the compliance certificate. Tea Stove FAQs
Why is the La Nordica Tea so tall?
The tall shape gives the fire presence without a wide footprint. It suits narrow walls and corners, and the height puts the flames closer to eye level when you are seated.
Is the Tea stove hard to clean?
No. The enamel wipes clean when cold, the ash box pulls out, and the post-combustion air helps keep the glass clear. Dry wood makes the biggest difference.
Can it go on a wooden floor?
Yes, on a proper non-combustible hearth plate. We check the floor and set the right clearances as part of the installation.
