SAfire designed the Heeta 950 double sided wood fireplace insert for homes that want one fire to serve two spaces. Glass on both faces means the flames show in the lounge and the next room, such as a dining area or patio room, at the same time. With 13kW to 16kW of output, it has the power to heat a large home in a Cape Town winter.

One fire, two views
A see-through fireplace links two rooms and makes the fire the centre of both. It works well in a dividing wall, an open-plan home or a large room that you want to split into zones without blocking light.
Strong, efficient heat
The steel firebox is rated at 80% efficiency, so more of the heat from each log goes into your home rather than up the flue. Output runs from 13kW to 16kW, letting you burn gently on a mild night or push it on a cold one.
Size and fitting
The SAfire Heeta 950 measures 48 x 91 x 54.5 cm and weighs 152 kg. It has a top outlet for a 150 mm flue, which keeps the flue run simple above the unit.
Is the Heeta 950 right for your home?
Heeta rates it for about 450 m³ of heated volume. That is a large area, so it suits big open-plan homes, double-volume rooms or two good-sized connected rooms. Does a double sided fireplace heat both rooms equally?
Both sides radiate heat through the glass, so each room gets warmth. The room where you load and use the fire most often tends to feel a little warmer. We help you decide which side should be the loading side.
Is it a freestanding unit or an insert?
