Description

Two rooms, one fire: that is the promise of the SAfire Heeta 950 Double Sided, a bevel-edged wood burner you can enjoy from either side of a wall. Glass on both faces lets a single fire warm a lounge and a dining room, or a family room and a study, with the flames on show from each side.

SAfire Heeta 950 Double Sided Fireplace Features

One fire, two spaces

A two way fireplace indoors works as a room divider and a heater in one. Instead of buying two separate units, you get one double sided fireplace with a view from both sides, which saves on flue work, on installation and on wood.

Serious heat for big homes

The Heeta 950 produces 12KW to 16KW and runs at 80% efficiency, so most of the wood you burn turns into useful heat. Its rated heating volume is about 400 m³, enough to carry a large open-plan living area on a cold Cape night.

Bevel styling and fluted panels

Bevelled edges and fluted stainless steel panels give the steel body a sharp, architectural look that suits modern homes. It weighs 140 kg, measures 48 x 95 x 78.5 cm and takes a 150 mm flue from the top.

Is the Heeta 950 right for your home?

It suits large lounges, open-plan living areas and homes where two rooms share a central wall. It is too much fire for a small room. If you are weighing up layouts, compare it with our other double-sided fireplaces and send us a floor plan so we can confirm the fit.

Installation in Cape Town

A double sided unit needs careful planning: safe clearances and a hearth on both sides, plus a 150 mm flue routed straight up. Our team supplies and installs the Heeta 950, fits a cowl suited to Cape wind and seals the roof flashing against winter rain. Heeta 950 FAQs

Can the Heeta 950 heat two rooms?

Yes, that is the main reason to choose it. The fire is visible from both sides and heat moves into both spaces. A room with more glass or a higher ceiling will feel cooler, so we look at your layout before you buy.

Is a double sided fireplace harder to install?

It takes more planning than a standard stove because both sides need safe clearances and a non-combustible floor area. The flue still runs from the top, so the roof work is much the same as for a single sided model.

Does it work in an open-plan room?

Very well. Many buyers place it as a feature in the middle of an open-plan space, with the lounge on one side and the dining area on the other. It gives the room a natural break without building a solid wall.
