Description
The SAfire Heeta 500 Log Base is a modern freestanding wood fireplace with a tall, upright shape. Black 304 stainless steel fluted panels give it a smart, architectural finish, and the extra large glass puts the fire on full show. It suits homeowners who want strong heat and a stove that looks like it belongs in a design-led home.
SAfire Heeta 500 Log Base Features
Carbon steel with a fluted finish
The body is carbon steel, which heats up quickly once the fire is lit. The fluted stainless panels add texture and catch the light, and you can choose a black or a white finish to suit your room.
Wide output range
Output runs from 6 to 12kW. Close the air down for a gentle, slow burn in spring, or open it up on a freezing July night. At 80% efficiency, more of the heat stays in the room and less wood goes up the flue.
Easy upkeep
An ash tray lifts out for simple cleaning, and heavy carbon steel grates are made to take years of hot fires. It is a steel fireplace that warms up fast. The big viewing glass makes it easy to judge when to add another log.
Size and flue
The Heeta 500 Log Base measures 48 x 48.5 x 87 cm, weighs 75 kg and connects to a 150 mm top flue. Its square footprint fits neatly on a standard hearth plate.
Is the Heeta 500 right for your home?
The maker rates it for spaces up to 250 m³. With a standard ceiling of about 2.6 metres, that is roughly a 90 m2 room, so it covers a medium to large lounge or a modest open plan area. Big double volume spaces may need more. Compare it with other freestanding fireplaces or read our Heeta 600 NB review to see the bigger model.
Installation in Cape Town
Our team supplies and installs the stove with a 150 mm flue, a cowl that handles Cape wind and sealed flashing to keep winter rain out, and we handle compliance. Read more on our fireplace installation in Cape Town page or see every Heeta fireplace we stock.
