Description
For big homes, lodges and venues, the Heeta 1200 brings serious fire to two rooms at once. It is a 1200 mm wide, see-through wood fireplace insert from SAFire’s Heeta range, built in steel with black stainless steel fluted panels. Put it in a wall between a lounge and a dining room, or between indoor and outdoor living, and both sides enjoy the flames.
Heeta 1200 Double Sided Fireplace Features
Heat on a large scale
With 25kW of output and a maker rating of 600 m³ of heated space, the Heeta 1200 is built for large open-plan homes, double volume rooms, restaurants and function venues. It is one of the most powerful units we install.
Efficient for its size
An 80% efficiency rating means most of the wood’s energy reaches the room. Big fireplaces can be greedy, but this one makes each load of logs work hard.
Strong build, easy upkeep
The firebox is heavy steel with sturdy carbon steel fire grates, and two ash trays make cleaning simpler on a fireplace this wide. The fluted stainless panels give it a modern, finished look once it is built in.
Size and flue
It measures 48 x 120 x 53.5 cm, weighs 179.5 kg and connects to a 150 mm flue on top.
Is the Heeta 1200 right for your home?
The maker’s 600 m³ rating works out to roughly 240 m2 of floor with a standard ceiling. That is far too much for a normal lounge, so it suits large homes, guest lodges and venues. For a smaller space, see other units in our double sided fireplaces range, or read about heating two rooms with one fire.
Installation in Cape Town
Our team supplies and installs the Heeta 1200, builds the wall opening with the right clearances, and fits the flue, cowl and flashing for Cape wind and winter rain. Compliance is handled too. Read about our fireplace installation in Cape Town and see the full Heeta fireplace range.
SAFire Heeta 1200 FAQs
Can a double sided wood fireplace go between inside and outside?
Yes, if the wall and flue are planned properly. Many clients use one face for the lounge and one for a covered patio. We check the layout, airflow and wind exposure first.
Is a fireplace insert this big hard to light?
Not at all. Start a small fire with kindling and dry wood near the centre, then build up. Good draw from a correctly sized 150 mm flue keeps it burning cleanly.
