Thick cast iron that keeps warming
The door, body and heavy top are cast iron, made from new ore rather than recycled scrap. Once hot, the top keeps radiating warmth long after the flames have dropped, so the room cools slowly overnight.
Big firebox, longer logs
Cast iron firebricks line the whole combustion chamber, and the generous space accepts long logs. Bigger loads mean fewer refuels and less splitting of wood.
Slow-burn control
Round vents low on the door feed the fire from below, while an upper vent supplies secondary air that cleans up the burn and washes the glass. You can idle the fire down to stretch your fuel, and airtight gaskets let you close it right down for an overnight burn.
Practical details
A riddling grate, removable baffle and lift-out ash pan make cleaning simple, and an ash pan tool and glove are included. It measures 46.5 x 56.5 x 72 cm, weighs 130 kg and connects to a 150 mm flue from the top or rear.

Can the Northern Flame Tarsa burn overnight?
Yes. Close the air vents before bed and the airtight seals slow the fire right down. In the morning, open the vents, add fuel and it comes back to life.
Is the Tarsa a multi fuel fireplace?
It is. The riddling grate lets it burn wood or coal. Dry, seasoned wood gives the cleanest glass and the least build-up in the flue.
