Description
The Northern Flame Panoramic 9 is the stove to choose when you want a big fire picture without a deep unit eating into the room. Its body is wide but shallow, the window is large, and the wooden handle stays cool to the touch. On its stand it sits at a comfortable height, and it qualifies as an eco design wood stove under the SIA 2022 Eco-Design scheme.

A wide wood fireplace with a slim depth
The outer body is broad, while a tapered inner layer keeps the firebox efficient. The combustion chamber takes logs up to 45cm long, and the vermiculite lining is 30mm thick to hold heat in the fire.
Clean burning by design
Air is drawn in from the rear, warmed between two steel layers and released through holes high in the chamber. This tertiary air re-burns smoke, and a curtain of hot air sweeps the glass clean. A discreet lever under the ash lip gives fine control of the burn.
Built to last
A 30mm cast iron door, a 10mm steel top and a 5mm steel body make for a heavy, durable stove. The baffle plate is removable for cleaning, and levelling bolts help on uneven floors. You can also connect an external air intake.
Overnight burn
Airtight door gaskets let you close the air right down at night and revive the fire in the morning with a little wood, once you have mastered the controls.

Does the Northern Flame Panoramic 9 need a grate?
No. It burns wood only, and wood burns best on a flat bed of ash, so there is no grate or ash pan. You simply clear excess ash every few fires.
Can the Panoramic 9 with stand burn overnight?
Yes, once the DEFRA stop is removed and you get used to the air controls. Close the air down before bed and open it again in the morning with fresh wood.
