Description
The Northern Flame Naka proves that a small stove can still be properly built. It is a 5kW multi-fuel fireplace made almost entirely of cast iron, with a firebrick lined chamber, a riddling grate and an air wash system for the glass. If you need a 5kW fireplace or a compact freestanding wood fireplace for a smaller room, it ticks the boxes for heat, build and looks.

Cast iron inside and out
The body, the baffle plate, the grate and even the firebricks lining the chamber are cast iron. That makes the Naka a true cast iron fireplace that holds heat well and keeps warming the room after the fire burns low.
Two stages of combustion
Two vents control the burn. The lower one, under the door, feeds air up through the grate. The upper one supplies preheated air that burns off more of the smoke and washes over the glass on its way down. You get cleaner burning, more heat from each log and a window that stays clear for longer.

Small and flexible
At 32 x 43 x 56 cm and 65 kg, the Naka fits a modest hearth or the mouth of an old fireplace. The 125 mm flue can leave from the top or the rear, which gives us options in rooms with low or sloping ceilings.

Naka FAQs
Is 5kW enough to heat my lounge?
For a room of up to about 48 m2 with average insulation, yes. In a larger or draughty room the Naka will feel stretched, so we would point you to a bigger model.
Can the Naka burn coal?
Yes. The riddling grate lets ash fall through when burning smokeless coal, and you can run it on wood with the primary air turned down.
Does the Naka come with a warranty?
Yes, it carries a 5-year limited warranty. The stove follows a European design and holds CE and British EN approval.
