Small in size but generous with warmth, the Northern Flame Logi is a cheerful, small cast iron fireplace for compact rooms that burns wood or coal. It fits into most existing fireplace openings, so it is a popular way to turn a draughty open hearth into an efficient closed fire without major building work.
Northern Flame Logi Fireplace Features
Solid cast iron, not recycled scrap
The door, body and thick top are cast iron made from new iron ore rather than recycled offcuts. The heavy top keeps radiating heat after the flames die down, and it is flat enough to heat a kettle or a pot when the power goes off.
Primary and secondary air
A low vent on the door sends primary air up through the grate to get the fire going quickly. A second vent above the door supplies secondary air, which burns off more smoke and runs as a warm air wash over the glass so the view stays clear.
Burns through the night
Airtight door gaskets and manual air vents let you shut the Logi down at bedtime. In the morning, open the vents, add fuel and the fire picks up again from the embers.
Easy to live with
The firebox is lined with cast iron firebricks and takes 30cm logs. A riddling grate, removable baffle and lift-out ash pan make cleaning simple, and an ash pan tool and glove are included. It measures 33 x 38.5 x 54 cm, runs on a 125mm top or rear flue and has a 75% efficiency rating.

Will the Logi fit inside my existing fireplace?
It is sized to fit most standard fireplace hearths. We measure the opening and check the chimney, then fit a flue liner and closure plate so the stove draws properly.
Can I burn coal in the Northern Flame Logi?
Yes. It is a multi fuel fireplace with a riddling grate, so it handles wood or coal. Use dry wood for the cleanest glass and fewest flue deposits.
