Description
The Northern Flame Kenna 65 Double-sided is a tall, modern steel fireplace with glass on both faces and a neat black border around each window. Place it between two rooms or in the middle of an open-plan space and the fire becomes the focal point from every angle.
Northern Flame Kenna 65 Features
Two doors you can swap
Both doors open from the right as standard, but they can be re-hung to open from the left. The handles lift off and work as cold handles, or you can fix them in place with the screws supplied. Small details like this make daily use easier.
Simple control, clean glass
A single lever below the door sets the primary air, secondary air and air wash together. Secondary combustion burns off more of the smoke, so you use less wood, and the air wash helps keep the Schott Robax glass clear.
Heat that lasts
The combustion chamber is lined with vermiculite and fitted with stainless steel and vermiculite baffle plates. They hold heat in the chamber for longer and keep the room warm after the flames die down. A built-in convection box moves warm air into the room as well. Efficiency is 78.50%.
Size and flue
The Kenna measures 46 x 65 x 94.2 cm and connects to a 180 mm flue at the top. The fire chamber takes logs of around 40 centimetres, and the unit is Eco-Design 2022 compliant.
Is the Kenna 65 right for your home?
As a 10kW wood fireplace rated at 96.5 m², the Kenna suits a medium to large lounge or two connected living spaces. A double sided fireplace sends heat both ways, so it shines in open layouts. See our double-sided fireplaces to compare, or read our Northern Flame range review.
Installation in Cape Town
Our team installs the Kenna with the correct 180 mm flue, a cowl that stands up to the south-easter and flashing that stays dry in winter. We take care of compliance and the certificate. Find out how our fireplace installation in Cape Town works, or browse every Northern Flame fireplace.
Northern Flame Kenna 65 FAQs
Can the Kenna 65 heat two rooms?
Yes, that is what it is built for. With glass on both sides and a 96.5 m² rating, it warms two connected rooms well, as long as the opening between them is wide enough for the heat to move.
How much wood does it use?
Northern Flame gives a nominal use of about 2.6 kilograms of wood an hour. Dry hardwood burns hotter and cleaner, so it stretches your supply further.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes, the Kenna carries a five-year limited guarantee from the maker.
