Description
The Northern Flame Golnar 50 is a multi fuel fireplace that pairs a modern face with clean, efficient burning. A large ceramic glass window sits in a thin black steel border, so the flames take centre stage, and the unit is Eco-design ready for lower emissions.
Northern Flame Golnar 50 Fireplace Features
Clear view through Schott Robax glass
The door uses Schott Robax ceramic glass, which handles high temperatures and gives a sharp view of the fire. The slim frame keeps the front looking clean and uncluttered in a modern lounge.
Efficient multi fuel burning
At 78.50% efficiency, the Golnar 50 turns most of its fuel into room heat. It burns seasoned wood or smokeless fuel, and the vermiculite firebox lining reflects heat back into the fire for a hotter, cleaner burn with less ash.
Eco-design ready
As an eco-design ready fireplace, it is built to the stricter European emissions standard for stoves. That standard is not required in South Africa, but it means less smoke from your chimney, which matters in closely built suburbs.
Is the Golnar 50 right for your home?
With 7KW of output and a rated heating area of about 67.5 m2, it suits a medium lounge or a modest open-plan living area. It measures 34.2 x 55 x 48.2 cm, weighs 97 kg and takes a 127mm flue from the top. See more built-in fireplaces if you need a different size.

Golnar 50 FAQs
Is the Golnar 50 an insert or a freestanding fireplace?
It is an insert. Northern Flame makes the Golnar 50 to be built into a fireplace opening or recess, and it has a top flue outlet. Our team checks your opening size, clearances and ventilation before we fit it.
What can I burn in the Northern Flame Golnar 50?
It is a multi fuel unit, so seasoned hardwood and smokeless fuel both work. Dry wood gives the best flame picture. Avoid treated timber, pallets and household rubbish, which damage the firebox and foul the flue.
