As a 12kW wood fireplace, the Sora has the power to bring a large room up to temperature quickly on a cold Cape evening. Nordflam lists a heating area of about 120 m2, which covers most open-plan lounge and dining spaces.
Efficient burning
The Sora is rated at 75% efficiency. In simple terms, more of the heat from each log stays in your home, so you burn less wood over a season and spend less time fetching and stacking it.
Flexible flue options
The flue can leave from the top or the rear, which gives our installers more freedom to place the fireplace where it looks best. It runs on a 150 mm flue. Our older notes mention a 110 mm outlet on some units that needs an adaptor up to 150 mm, so we always check the exact outlet on your unit before we fit the flue.
Solid steel build
The steel body weighs 135 kg and measures 45 x 75 x 74 cm. It stands firm on a hearth plate and warms up quickly once the fire gets going, which is a real plus when you come home to a cold house.

How big a space can the Nordflam Sora heat?
Nordflam rates it for about 120 m2. That figure assumes a normal ceiling height and reasonable insulation. Very high ceilings or a lot of glass reduce the area, so we check your room before recommending it.
Can I fit the Sora with a rear flue?
Yes. The flue outlet can be at the top or the rear. A rear exit is handy when you want to run the flue through an outside wall instead of through the ceiling and roof.
