If you like the warmth of cast iron but want something that looks current, the NORDflam Iberia is a good place to start. Traditional cast iron moulds are used to create a clean, modern shape with a big viewing window and a large handle that is easy to grip. It is the smaller sister of the Toria, without the side door.

Built to last
The firebox interior is cast iron with double-lined side and rear walls for extra protection, plus a cast iron baffle plate. Cast iron soaks up heat and keeps releasing it after the flames settle, so the room stays warm for longer on less wood.
Three stages of combustion
A primary control at the bottom of the door feeds air under the fire. The secondary control above the door powers the airwash, a curtain of air that keeps soot off the glass. A tertiary control lets extra air in through the back wall to burn off the gases, for a cleaner burn and more heat.
Easy to live with
- A multifuel riddling grate lets you stir the coals and drop ash without opening the door wide.
- The removable ash pan makes the morning clean-up quick.
- A wood guard keeps logs inside the chamber.
- A deflector lengthens the exhaust path so more heat goes into the room.
Is the Iberia right for your home?
As a 9kW wood fireplace, the Iberia is suited to heating a medium area. As a rough guide, that is a lounge or open-plan space of about 70 to 120 m2 with a normal ceiling height, depending on insulation and glass. What size logs fit in the NORDflam Iberia?
The combustion chamber comfortably loads 45cm logs, so standard firewood lengths go in without extra cutting. The wood guard keeps them in place when you open the door.
How is the Iberia different from the Toria?
The Iberia is the smaller of the two. It does not have the Toria side door, and the reliefs on the side panels are slightly different. Both share the same cast iron build and clean-burn air system.
Will the glass stay clean?
The airwash system sends a curtain of air down the glass to reduce soot. Burning dry, seasoned wood and running the fire hot for the first few minutes keeps the window clearest.
