Description
Some fireplaces chase trends. The Liseo L71 Bavorov sticks to what works: solid cast iron, clean classic lines and a big window on the fire. It is a freestanding stove that is easy to place, and it quickly becomes the spot where family and friends gather on a cold Cape Town evening.
Liseo L71 Bavorov Features
Classic cast iron construction
The body is cast iron, weighing 131 kg. It soaks up heat from the fire and releases it slowly, so the room stays comfortable even as the flames settle. The casting is German made and the stove carries strict CE certification.
Output that adjusts to the weather
The nominal output is 12kW, with a range of 8 to 17kW. Run it gently on a mild autumn night, or open it up when a winter front rolls in. That range makes it a flexible choice for medium to large homes.
A big view of the flames
The large window puts the fire on show. With dry, seasoned wood and the right air setting, you get a bright, lively flame picture all evening.
Size and flue
The L71 measures 69 x 45 x 89 cm and takes a 180 mm flue from the top. Our specification lists an efficiency of 71%.
Is the L71 Bavorov right for your home?
Our specification gives a heating area of 75 m² to 150 m², which covers a large lounge through to an open-plan living area. In a small room it would need to run low most of the time, so share your room size with us first. You can compare other freestanding fireplaces in our range.
Installation in Cape Town
Our team supplies and installs the L71 with a 180 mm flue, cowl and roof flashing for Cape wind and rain, and we handle the compliance certificate. Read about our fireplace installation in Cape Town, or view the full Liseo fireplace range.
Liseo L71 Bavorov FAQs
What warranty does the L71 Bavorov have?
It comes with a 5 year warranty. Keep your proof of purchase and installation certificate, and have the flue swept regularly to keep the stove in good shape.
Is a 12kW fireplace too much for a medium home?
Not with the L71. It can turn down to around 8kW for milder nights, and up to 17kW for the coldest spells, so it covers a wide range of rooms from about 75 m².
Does the Bavorov need a special flue?
It uses a 180 mm flue, which is wider than many stoves. We supply the right size flue parts as part of the installation.
