Description
Old-school charm meets a neat, modern outline in the Liseo L51 Ostrava. It is a cast iron freestanding fireplace that fits easily into a lounge, family room or study, and it gives a lot of heat for its size. The big window keeps the fire in view, and the option to connect outside air makes it a smart pick for modern, well-sealed homes.
Liseo L51 Ostrava Features
Classic cast iron
The full cast iron body, made with German casting, weighs 114 kg. It warms up steadily and keeps giving heat after the flames settle, so the room stays comfortable between loads. The unit is CE certified.
Warmth without wasting wood
With a nominal 10kW and a range of 7 to 14kW, the Ostrava can tick over gently or work hard on a cold night. Liseo rates it at 74% efficiency, which keeps your wood bill in check through winter.
Outside air connection
As an external air fireplace, the Ostrava can draw air for the fire from outside instead of from the room. That means it does not use up the oxygen in your lounge, and you do not need to leave a window open. It is a real plus in newer homes with tight windows and doors.
Size and flue
The Ostrava measures 55 x 41 x 95 cm, with an internal firebox of 51 x 31 x 41 cm. It connects to a 160 mm flue from the top.
Is the L51 Ostrava right for your home?
Liseo gives a heating area of 65 to 125 m2, so it covers most medium to large lounges and modest open-plan spaces. Compare it with other freestanding fireplaces, or see the full Liseo fireplace range.
Installation in Cape Town
Our team supplies and fits the Ostrava with a 160 mm flue, cowl and roof flashing for strong wind and winter rain, and we can route an outside air duct where your layout allows. See our fireplace installation in Cape Town service for more.
Liseo L51 Ostrava FAQs
Do I need to use the outside air option?
No, it is optional. The Ostrava runs fine on room air. Outside air helps most in airtight new builds, where a fire can struggle to draw without an open window.
What warranty does the L51 Ostrava have?
Our listing states a 5 year warranty. Our team installs it to the maker’s requirements and issues the compliance certificate, which keeps everything in order.
