Description
Few stoves put the fire on show like the Liseo L51 Nova Four Glass. Every side is glass, so whether you sit on the couch, at the dining table or in the kitchen, you see the flames. That makes it a natural centrepiece for open-plan homes, and it can stand in the middle of a room as a divider rather than against a wall.
Liseo L51 Nova Four Glass Features
A cast iron fireplace built to last
The body is cast iron with European castings and CE certification, and it weighs 114 kg. Cast iron takes a little longer to warm up than thin steel, but it then gives off steady, even heat long after the logs burn down.
Strong, adjustable output
Nominal output is 10kW, with a working range of 7kW to 14kW depending on how you load and set the air. Liseo quotes 74% efficiency. The internal firebox measures 51 x 31 x 41 cm, which takes a decent load of split logs.
Tall, slim proportions
At 55 x 41 x 95 cm the L51 Nova is taller than most stoves, which lifts the flames to eye level. It connects to a 160 mm flue from the top.
Is the L51 Nova right for your home?
Our specs give a heating area of 65 m² to 125 m², so it covers a large lounge or open-plan living space. Rooms with lots of glass or double-volume ceilings sit at the lower end of that range. Compare other options in our freestanding fireplaces, or see the whole Liseo fireplace range.
Installation and care in Cape Town
Our team supplies and installs the stove with a 160 mm flue, cowl and roof flashing suited to Cape wind and rain, plus the compliance paperwork. With four panes, glass care matters. Our glass and rope replacement guide explains upkeep, and our fireplace glass and rope replacement service covers any repairs.
L51 Nova FAQs
Does a four glass fireplace lose more heat?
No. Glass lets radiant heat pass into the room, so you feel warmth from all sides. The cast iron frame still stores heat, giving you both the view and steady warmth.
Can the L51 Nova stand in the middle of a room?
Yes, that is where it looks best. It needs a non-combustible floor plate and a flue going straight up through the ceiling. We plan the flue route and clearances on site.
What warranty does it carry?
The L51 Nova comes with a 5 year warranty. Our team handles the install correctly from the start, which keeps the cover valid.
