A wide window on the fire
The Vulcan measures 110 x 43 x 107 cm, and much of that width is fire. The large door gives everyone in the room a good view, so it becomes the natural gathering spot on cold evenings.
Room for bigger logs
Inside, the combustion chamber is 103cm wide, 31cm deep and 50cm high. That means larger logs go in whole, burn longer and need fewer top-ups.
Strong, efficient heat
The nominal output is 16kW, with a working range of 11-22kW. At 76% efficiency and with 190 kg of cast iron soaking up and releasing heat, the Vulcan gives steady warmth rather than short bursts. It connects to a 180 mm flue from the top.
European build quality
The unit is imported from Europe with German-made casting and is CE certified, so you can count on sound materials and safe design. It carries a five-year warranty.

How heavy is the Vulcan, and does my floor need work?
It weighs 190 kg. Most concrete floors carry that easily on a proper hearth plate. On a suspended timber floor we check the structure first and may add support.
Is a cast iron fireplace better than steel?
Cast iron heats up more slowly but holds heat for much longer, giving a gentler, more even warmth. It is also very durable, which is why the Vulcan is built entirely from it.
