Description
Corners are often wasted space in a lounge, and the Kratki ZIBI Left turns one into the focal point of the room. Its glass wraps around the corner with no frame on the edge, so the flames show from the front and from the left. It is a built-in wood fireplace, made to be cladded into a wall, and at 14kW it has the power for a big living area.
Kratki ZIBI Left Corner Fireplace Features
Frameless corner glass
The corner glass gives a wider, more open view of the fire than a flat door. With no frame on the corner, the finish looks sharp once the unit is cladded, which makes it a modern wood fireplace for new homes and renovations alike. Choose the left version when the glass needs to face the left side of the room.
Ceramic firebox
Like other Kratki models, the ZIBI has its chamber lined with heat-intensifying ceramics. These store heat and keep the burn hot, so the wood burns more completely and the glass stays cleaner.
Heavy steel build
The steel body weighs 157 kg and measures 75.1 x 49 x 92.4 cm. A top flue outlet takes a 180 mm flue, which keeps the installation tidy above the unit.
Is the Kratki ZIBI right for your home?
Kratki rates the ZIBI at about 220 to 325 m³ of heated volume. That suits a large lounge, an open-plan space or a room with a raised ceiling. For a small, closed room it may be too strong, and our team can suggest a smaller unit from our built-in fireplaces instead. The Kratki buyer’s guide on our blog compares the main models.
Installation in Cape Town
A corner fireplace needs careful planning of the surround, heat clearances and the flue route through ceiling and roof. Our team does the full built-in fireplace design and cladding job, fits the 180 mm flue with a cowl and flashing that stand up to Cape wind and rain, and signs off the compliance. Kratki ZIBI Left FAQs
What is the difference between the ZIBI Left and ZIBI Right?
The two versions are mirror images. The left model has its glass corner on the left side, the right model on the right. Stand facing the wall where the fireplace will go and pick the side that faces into the room.
Can a corner fireplace heat a large room?
Yes. The ZIBI puts out 14kW, which is plenty for most large Cape Town lounges. Corner placement also spreads heat across two walls of view, so the room feels warm from more angles.
