Description
A curved glass door is what you notice first on the Kratki Rollo. The glass bends around the front of the firebox, so you see the fire from the side as well as straight on. It is a solid steel wood stove that gives good value for the heat and build quality you get, and it suits a modern lounge as well as a classic one.
Kratki Rollo Steel Wood Stove Features
Curved glass, wide view
The rounded door opens up the view of the flames across the room, which makes this curved glass fireplace a natural focal point. The heat-resistant glass is made for long life, and Kratki’s air-wash system helps keep soot off it.
Ceramic lining for a hotter fire
Highly refractory ceramics line the combustion chamber. They hold heat and keep the firebox hot, which helps the wood burn more completely. With primary, secondary and tertiary air, you get more heat from each load and a cleaner flue.
Compact steel build
The Rollo measures 50.2 x 33.9 x 82.1 cm and weighs 120 kg. It is slim from front to back, so it does not push far into the room. The 150 mm flue leaves from the top or the rear, and a removable ash box makes cleaning simple.
Is the Kratki Rollo right for your home?
Kratki rates the Rollo at 10.5kW for rooms of about 160 to 275 m³. With a normal 2.7 m ceiling that is roughly a 60 to 100 m² lounge or open-plan space. Rooms with high ceilings or big windows sit at the lower end. Compare it with each Kratki fireplace we stock, or read our Kratki fireplace guide and look through our freestanding fireplaces.
Installation in Cape Town
Our team supplies and installs the Rollo with a 150 mm flue, a wind-rated cowl for Cape conditions and roof flashing that keeps the winter rain out. We confirm the hearth and clearances on site. Find out more about our fireplace installation service.
Rollo Fireplace FAQs
What does the Kratki Rollo cost to install?
The installed cost depends on your flue route, ceiling height, roof type and hearth. We give a fixed written quote after a site visit or once we have photos, so you know the full cost before work starts.
Is the curved glass harder to replace?
Curved glass is a specific part, so it is ordered for the model. With dry wood and careful use, the glass seldom breaks, and our team can source and fit a new pane if needed.
