Description
When the room is big and the fire needs to be the main event, the Kratki Nadia 14/G is a strong candidate. It is a powerful built-in wood fireplace with a rise and fall glass door, so the glass lifts up into the frame for easy loading. The result is a clean, modern look with a large, uninterrupted view of the fire.
Kratki Nadia 14/G Built-in Fireplace Features
Lift-up glass door
The door slides vertically rather than swinging open. That keeps the front flush with your wall cladding and makes adding logs easy and tidy.
Heat-intensifying ceramics
The combustion chamber is lined with Kratki ceramics. They store heat and help the fire burn hotter and cleaner, which means more warmth from the same wood.
Clear glass, cleaner burn
Air wash glass cleaning cuts down soot on the inside of the glass. Combustion works in stages, so more of the gases are burnt off before they reach the flue.
Heavy steel construction
Like every Kratki fireplace in the steel range, it is built from thick plate, and the Nadia 14/G weighs 281 kg. It measures 116.2 x 51.7 x 124.8 cm and uses a 200 mm flue from the top. Kratki covers its wood fireplaces with a five-year warranty.
Is the Nadia 14/G right for your home?
Kratki rates it for a room volume of about 190 to 415 m³. That covers a large open-plan living area, a double-volume lounge or a big entertainment room. Compare sizes on our Kratki page and in our built-in fireplaces range.
Built-in installation in Cape Town
A unit this size needs proper planning. Our built-in fireplace design and cladding team builds the surround, insulation and convection vents, and runs the 200 mm flue with a cowl and flashing suited to Cape wind and rain.
Nadia 14/G FAQs
Is the Kratki Nadia 14 too big for an average lounge?
Usually, yes. At 17kW it can overheat a small or medium room. It is best in large or double-volume spaces, and we will suggest a smaller Kratki if your room needs less.
Why choose a rise and fall door?
It keeps the face of the fireplace neat and flush, and lifting the glass gives you a wide, easy opening for loading logs.
