Description

The Kratki K7 packs solid cast iron and a striking curved window into a small footprint. It is a good fit for homeowners who want real wood heat in a modest room without a bulky stove taking over the floor. At 8kW, it warms up fast and keeps going through a long Cape winter evening.

Kratki K7 Fireplace Features

Cast iron built to last

The body is cast iron with a wall thickness of at least 8 mm, and the stove weighs 79 kg. That mass soaks up heat and gives it back slowly, so the room stays warm after the logs burn down.

A curved window and cleaner glass

The rounded glass door gives a wide view of the fire. An airwash system sweeps air across the inside of the glass to cut soot build-up, and the heat resistant glass handles high firebox temperatures.

Easy to run and clean

The handle lifts off while the fire burns, so you can keep it cool and fit it only when you open the door. An ash drawer and a removable grate make cleaning quick, and a small guard rail stops logs rolling forward. It takes logs of about 30 centimetres, and the air supply is adjustable so you can slow the burn.

Fits more rooms

The K7 measures 53.6 x 41.3 x 60.1 cm and connects to a 130 mm flue from the top or the rear. A rear exit is handy when you want the flue to go straight out through a wall.

Is the Kratki K7 fireplace right for your home?

Kratki rates this 8kW wood fireplace for roughly 110 to 190 m³ of room volume. With a normal ceiling height, that is a small to medium lounge or a study. Open plan spaces and high ceilings need more output, so look through our other freestanding fireplaces if your room is bigger. Our Kratki fireplace buyers guide compares the wider range.

Kratki K7 FAQs

Does the Kratki K7 come with a guarantee?

Yes. The K7 carries a five-year limited guarantee from the maker. Our team explains what it covers when you order, and a professional installation helps keep that cover in place.

Can the K7 vent out the back instead of the top?

Yes. The flue collar can sit on top or at the rear, so we can run the flue up through the ceiling or out through an outside wall, depending on your home.

What size logs does a small cast iron fireplace like the K7 take?

Cut your wood to around 30 centimetres. Dry, seasoned hardwood at that length burns cleanly and keeps the glass clearer.
